Most will know by this wonder called Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas but also of a great writer, journalist for Time Magazine or Rolling Stones, Hunter S. Thompson was a great photographer.
Born in Louisville (Kentucky) and was the eldest of three brothers who were raised by their alcoholic mother.
had to finish to complete the legend, problems with the law for petty theft. As part of the verdict of one of them ended up in the army where he worked as a sports journalist.
In 1965, he joined Hell's Angels to make a series of photos. He succeeded but left by feet. Apparently, the riders responsible for the tragedy at the Stones concert did not trust much of him or his camera.

The February 20, 2005 he shot himself in the head at his home Colorado. He was 67. Three months later, Rolling Stone published what it claimed was Thompson's latest work entitled "The football season is over." This is what he said:
"No more games. No more bombs. No more walks. No more fun. There is more good swim.. 67 17 years ago I spent 50. 17 years of I wanted or needed. Boredom. There is no fun for anyone. Tackle your old age. Relax. It will not hurt. "
